Summer season is over, school is back on, time for the next holiday celebrations at Walt Disney World. Halloween is only 2 months away and decorations at the Magic Kingdom have gone up. At the entrance of the park you can already see a lot of orange decorations. Nothing scary, but your regular Mickey pumpkins, flags and other fun stuff.
Just behind the train station you’ll find even more Halloween decorations. Including a baseball player and a musician, all dressed up for the occasion. More pumpkins and “Not so scary” Mickey faces can be found all the way down Main Street USA. The Magic Kingdom is ready for their annual “Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party”.
The party starts early with the first date starting next week. (September 2009 – 4, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25 & 29, October 2009 – 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 & 31 & November 2009 – 1). You can get your tickets online, but don’t wait to long as some dates do get sold out and tickets have been available for some time now.
The shops at the Magic Kingdom have Halloween displays ready to. New special 2009 T-shirts, pins and other Disney collectables are already available. No limited items yet as those get sold during the event. Special event T-Shirts and some of the limited Halloween pins can only be bought if you have an event ticket for one of the parties. The Magic Kingdom isn’t the only place offering Halloween items. All other park shops have Halloween displays ready too.
It is nice to see some of the decorations up during the day but remember that during the Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party more decoration will be added.
