Walt Disney World Monorail Crash Killing One Cast Member
What should be the end of a day of celebration at Walt Disney World ended with an unfortunate monorail accident killing one Cast Members. The driver of one of the Monorails didn’t survive the crash where 1 Monorail entered the Epcot station while another was still standing still inside of the station. The accident happened around 2AM this morning.
At this time it is unknown what caused the incident but park officials and law enforcement officials are working together to find out what happened. The monorail system has a safety brake system in place that automatically stops trains when to close to another one.
We at the Mousekingdom Blog would like to express our condolences to the family, friends and fellow Cast Members.
Disney released following statement
“Today, we mourn the loss of our fellow cast member. Our hearts go out to his family and to those who have lost a friend and co-worker. The safety of our guests and cast members is always our top priority. The monorail is out of service and we will continue to work closely with law enforcement to determine what happened and the approximate next steps.” (Orlando Sentinel)

This was a real tragedy to read about the death of a cast member. Hopefully Disney can get to the bottom of this accident.
