No More Pirates Life for Gore Verbinski
After 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies it’s been enough for Gore Verbinski. He has no more interest in directing a fourth movie for Disney’s pirates franchise. Instead of going on the high seas again, Verbinski will focus on his other project, including “Bioshock”…
“I had a fantastic time bringing ‘Pirates’ to life, and I am eternally grateful to Jerry, Johnny and the rest of the creative and production team,” Verbinski said. “I’m looking forward to all of us crossing paths again in the future.” (Variety)
The 4th movie in the Pirates series is in development but hasn’t been green lighted yet. However it is expected to go ahead and a first release date is set for 2010. Johnny Depp would return as everybody’s beloved Captain Jack Sparrow.
