No F1 at Disneyland Resort Paris

The only race track at Disneyland Resort Paris is Autopia

It’s not going well with the economy and it looks like this is the main reason why there will be no F1 track at Disneyland Resort Paris.

After concluding that the project is not economically viable, Euro Disney and Lagardère Sports have decided to cease their project of bringing the French Grand Prix to Paris, AFP reports.

The endeavour had originally planned to see the new Formula One destination in operation for the 2010 season, yet despite strong public support coming from F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone, no definite agreement could be reached with other parties in order to secure the necessary financial backing to bring the operation forward. Let us hope that Disney finds another project to fill their land; 3rd gate (hint, hint), an indoor water park (hint, hint). Although with the economy situation of today and all the other financial problems Euro Disney s.c.a. Still has to solve, I can see that land being empty for a long time to come.
