Walt Disney World live part 4

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Did something I normally hate doing this morning: I woke up early (0730…for me on vacation that is eaaaaaaarly) as I had booked a keys to the kingdom tour.

So how did a behind the scenes Disney tour stuck up on a Disney fans ranking system?

To be honest with you I found it good but not tops!
Our tour guide (Patrick) was extremely nice and sociable and had great human skills! A real top Disney CM

The tour in itself started of in mainstreet where some talk of the names on the windows and the parks history was done, then we went on the jungle cruise, but without the corny jockes but with our guide telling our private boat about the mechanics, hidden Mickeys, secrets etc! Very nice.

WDW Live part 3 (aka; dear old Colin was right)

strange blog title hey?

Well it kind of struck me today whilst waiting for reflections of earth; WDW has changed so much since my last visit!

You see in june a dear old friend (the above mentioned Colin) came back to visit DLRP after working for 12 months at the rose & crown in Epcot.
He said “its amazing how little this park has changed in 18 months”!
What?
Paris got toon studios, the tower, the character express, candelabration and an incredible new parade!

Well today in WDW i was thinking that since my last visit in september 2006 WDW got so much new stuff, the nemo ride (big improvement), the musical (tip my hat), the new haunted mansion (amazing), refurbed spaceship earth (good but the ending all in screen is terrible), the dream castle show and a certain midway mania!

Ehm

Ok Colin … You win!

Walt Disney World live - part 2

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

ciao guys

Tripple park hopping today
First the always heart warming” Magic Kingdom for a ride on the new mansion (gosh that starcase scene is awsome and tip my hat to the audio in the elevator), pirates , splash, laugh floor, dream show (those masks are marvelous)

Then Epcot to ride nemo, spaceship earth and get an 20pm MS FP

Then animal kingdom for Safari, dinosaur, everest and relaxing walk

And right now I am on the bus back to Epcot to ride Mission space, see my beloved Reflections of Earth , eat a sushi and enjoy the extra magic hours!

What’s the reason for this post:
Just to tell you that WDW solo can still be fun, incredibly relaxing (even when park hopying) and all in all, as tireing as we all know a Disney vacation can be, it might just be what the doctor should prescribe after a heavy work or life period!
