Disneyland: 3rd Gate and Tinker bell
Ed Grier, Disneyland Resort president, is talking about a possible third gate for the Disneyland Resort. While many thought that with the big rehab of Disney’s California Adventure a third gate would be something not for the near future but now Disney talks about it themselves. Obviously they did not give any more information other then the location of the possible 3rd gate expansion.
A third theme park was hinted at by Grier on Wednesday. “We do see a tremendous opportunity on our 88 acres of land,” Grier said. (OC Register)
Don’t shout victory to early, even with this little hint the project itself will not see the light of day anytime soon. DCA will be renewed first before we can even start thinking about a 3rd gate. But on the other hand Iam sure many Disney fans will be delighted with the hint alone.
“We had great success with the 50th anniversary (of Disneyland),” Grier said. “Now it’s about how we keep that momentum going.” (OC Register)
I said it so many times before, you give the guests something special (what Disney should be all about) and they will be back for more making it the success it is today. No more money saving tricks, give those amazing imagineers the possibilities to excel, let them bring their amazing ride to the guests and the company will have success.
However, with a 3rd park still far away in the future, the news of a new Tinker Bell attraction might already be something to stop your hunger (for a little while) for new Disney Magic attractions. Ed Grier said to expect a new attraction in Disneyland based on one of the most loved Disney characters somewhere in October. No other info is know at this time about Tinker Bell’s new ride. But I am sure it will involve pixie dust…
