DisneyNature

Disney has started a new film label to produce nature documents from world top documentary filmmakers. The label, named DisneyNature, will release movies about the beauty of our planet. On of them called simply “Earth” (April 22, 2009)., a movie that will be produced an directed by the award winning British Alastair Fothergill who already gave us the “Blue Planet” and the “Planet Earth” series. Darth Vader, oeps, I meant James Earl Jones will be the narrator of this new production.

DisneyNature will be based in France. Jean Francois Camilleri, a former Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Walt Disney Motion Pictures France will lead the new label.

Other catching productions will follow “Earth”. Some of them sounding like real fun; “The Crimson Wing” about the mystery of the flamingos, “Oceans” about the worlds big blue seas, “Big Cats” following the live of three wild mothers – A lioness, a leopard and a Cheetah, to name only a few.

The new nature movies will be a new beginning of a long Disney traditions Walt started himself when he produced many nature films during his career.
