Lots of WDW Celebrations!
We have recently got involved with helping a new fan-based Disney organisation in Orlando who are geared towards helping fellow WDWophiles have more fun in the parks for specific occasions.
It is the same group (essentially) who pioneered the superb Celebration 25 event at Epcot last October for the park’s 25th anniversary, and they have translated their efforts there into a new, year-round fan-based organisation called WDWCelebrations.com.
The basic idea is they will set up and coordinate a series of fan get-togethers to celebrate specific WDW milestones, and it all starts next month with A Wild Decade, the 10th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom on April 22nd
It is free to register and become a part of the group, and Susan and I from the Brit’s Guide will also be there to help out, meet people and generally enjoy this Disney bonus. The day will include a gathering for the opening Re-Dedication Ceremony (Disney’s own special occasion to mark the date), a History Walk, Group Photo, various group rides and shows and a meal-time get-together.
There are already almost 300 people registered to attend, but A Wild Decade can accommodate a lot more so, if you are likely to be in Orlando on April 22, why not sign up (on the WDWCelebrations.com ‘A Wild Decade’ link) and join the big get-together? It promises to be a lot of fun and just the first of many similar Disney World fan celebrations.
And, if you can’t make it on April 22, make a note of September 26-28, when there will be the inaugural World Wide Weekend, their annual signature event, with even more fun and games in prospect.
We’ll see you there!
