Shamu is going to Dubai
Dubai has been putting itself on the map big time! To become the biggest vacation destination they have already surprised us many time. If it is the islands they build, or the amazing theme parks that are announced, it all sounds awesome. Next on the list; Shamu! On The Palm Jebel Ali on the section known as “the Crown”, 4 new parks will be build in one big resort; “Worlds Of Discovery” including SeaWorld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens, and Discovery Cove. The resort will be on the tip of the palm and will be in the form of “Shamu”.

Everybody seems to go to Dubai and are eager to put their brand out there. It has been very quiet from Disney, but one must wonder if the Walt Disney Company would not start looking into a possible expansion in Dubai. Would they really want the others take all of the cake? Time will tell if Disney will ever be an option for Dubai, although I am sure they will follow the development very closely themselves. Me, I would not be surprised if somewhere in the future we would get a Disney announcement for Dubai. But I could be wrong (again)!

This is a BIG step forward and a big announcement, both for Dubai and Busch Entertainment, as it gives the city a huge international profile from the US and a major name that will mean a lot to the UK. We’ve been looking into Dubai’s overall visitor numbers and they make for eye-opening viewing, with the potential to DOUBLE in the next four years. Perhaps this WILL be a major alternative to Florida/Orlando after all…….
