More than a year ago I already added a little entry in this blog about a possible new IllumiNations show being under development for Epcot. One of the people involved would be the talented Don Dorsey, who should be no stranger to us Disney fans. He has been involved in the current version of the IllumiNations show but has also worked on Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade, Sorcery in the Sky and was audio recording and post-production engineer for the Entertainment Division of Disneyland Park from 1975 up to 1992.

While it did get quiet around the rumor for a while, new rumors are popping up that the new show might still be a go for the 2009 season. When you check out Don Dorsey’s website and click on the new projects you can also see that the Sky Dance is visible as a new project they are working on (Although with no extra information what the project is about).

We did get some reactions on the previous entry in the last couple of days. Including from Simon saying that the project has been put on hold even so when there has been test done for an unknown firework display we still don’t know nothing of. With this the question remains if the new rumors that are popping up are true and if we will get to see a new version n the near future

IllumiNations has a big place in my hart, I would miss it if they would replace it. But I guess every show has a last curtain call.
