Who Needs $27.7 million?

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

If doing a job well, you get compensation! However I do have a little mixed feelings when I see what one person gets for his job, even if he did it well, even if he is the CEO…

27.7 million is what Robert Iger gets for his work in 2007. Not a bad paycheck I would say, but is it really necessary. Isn’t this a little over the top…

calculations of total compensation include salary, bonus, incentives, perks, any above-market returns on deferred compensation and the estimated value of stock options and awards granted during the year. (Palm Beach Post)

Wall E is having fun

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

walle-fun.jpgApple has added an exclusive new trailer from the upcoming Pixar animation Wall E. He might be alone but he sure looks like he is having a lot of fun with the stuff he finds on the junkyard.

I had to laugh out loud when the car key and the fire extinguisher popped up. Want to know what I’m talking about, check out the great exclusive HD trailer here. I can’t wait to see this pictures, but unfortunately we will still have to wait until June 27th 2008.

Towers of the World (Opening ToT in Paris)

Inside the Tower of TerrorThe opening of a new ride (or in this case clone) is always a reason to go and get to Disneyland Resort Paris. Unfortunately, this time, I’ll have to wait a little longer before I can put the new Tower of Terror to the “personal” test. Friends who have already had the opportunity to ride it said it is a clone from the DCA version, however those riding it for the first time absolutely love it. While I haven’t been on the DCA version (yet), I did get to ride the Walt Disney World one on several occasions. I can only say that I love the ride, but here we have the different ride sequences that adds to the overall experience. This doesn’t mean I will not enjoy the Paris version because of that, I am so looking forwards to it, but the surprise of the different drops will be gone and the need to re-ride it again might just be (a little) less.
