Chief Magic Official

Picture Copyrights DisneyWhat would be your dream job? Would it be something involving Disney? I know I would change my present job for any job at Disney (actually I would pretty much change my current job for any other job, but that is a whole other story I will not bore you with). My dream job would be something behind scenes; either Imagineer (I guess I am not alone), or something in the Stage production department (as I have been on stage as of the age of 8 and never lost the love for the theatre, this might sound very logical).

But if for some reason you would not be able to change your day job but still would love to be a little part of it; what about becoming the very first “Chief Magical Official”? This job sounds great, not only will you be working for the mouse (Although calling this work isn’t right), but you’ll be enjoying the magic both in Walt Disney World as well as in Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. You’ll get all travel expenses paid, deluxe accommodation, some extra spending allowance, Disney Park admission and even an hourly  rate of compensation (I would do this for free).

And the job description…

A simple dreamer won’t do. If you’re selected, you’ll wear an official costume, and you’ll get some interesting coaching from a bunch of characters. But you’ll have to play the part up to eight times in a 12-month period beginning May 1, 2008 during The Year of a Million Dreams celebration in 2008. The Chief Magic Official will be tasked with helping create magic for guests, including appearances at Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida and Disneyland® Resort in California. (DreamCMO)

Sounds like fun! It sure does. Check out the official link what you have to do to be chosen for the job;  Including the M.A.T. (Magic Aptitude Test) that you have to pass (I passed it) to be able to write yourself in. You will also have to send in a 60 second video to apply for this dream job. Be warned; final day you can apply for will be January 27 and you’ll have to read the small print too; If your not legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia you can’t enter (I am so born in the wrong country…)
