Walt Disney Mundo Building Park in Argentina
Read the title again!… One more time!… Did you see what is different? No it’s not the Walt Disney Company that is going to build a park in Argentina, it is Walt Disney Mundo SA inc., the “Other” Disney company. They have nothing in common with the first Walt Disney Company. This is what they have to say about their company name

Are they serious? Are they trying to blame the media for giving incorrect information? Or are they trying to hide the fact that they are trying to get a lot of media attention by using the same name!
Why, why on earth would you use the same name for any other reason than to get media attention! (and it works, otherwise I would not have mentioned them here either). Why they picked this name they don’t explain themselves anywhere on their site!
If your serious about building a park, anywhere in the world, be inventive and come up with a new great name. Put the rides in place that will bring attention to the park, do the correct marketing to spread the world. All this and more will put you on the map, using the same name will not bring you anything but trouble.
You can (try) to watch a 10 minute video about what to expect from this new venture. Mostly you’ll see grassland with background music, no voice over, no explanation, no nothing informative…

This amused me when I spotted it the other day. I spent a few minutes looking into it to see what I could find, and found that Walt Disney Mundo SA is owned by the same person who owns a company called Higgins Warner, who seem to do some kind of football thing. The owner is called Emile Maxim St. Patrick Higgins, and it seems that Disney (that’s the real Disney, not the other one) has already had a poke at them, and is “initiating legal action” against Mr Higgins.
There’s also a press release on the Walt Disney Mundo site that gives an interesting read (the link is at the very bottom).

Other than these few bits, there doesn’t seem to be an awful lot out there about this right now, perhaps Disney have already managed to shut him up, or perhaps he’s planning some other odd plan to build his park – which from what I can gather reading the articles was to be called…

Of course, “mundo” means “world” in Spanish. So this is “Walt Disney World, SA”. I really hope any lies the media might spread about that “other” Walt Disney Company won’t adversely affect the wonderful Walt Disney Mundo.

I had a feeling that was the meaning of the word. In some of the articles I’d seen it was referenced as Walt Disney World SA when translated. I just hadn’t got round (read: hadn’t bothered) to actually prove myself right about it
I can’t see this affecting the real Walt Disney World Company too much, I’ve a feeling that Walt Disney Mundo SA will end up going away before they’ve built anything. Still, it’d certainly be interesting if the building goes ahead and a park actually opens.. They could certainly go ahead if they changed the name.. Anyone for a trip to “Emile Maxim St. Patrick Higgins World Resort”?
It’s also interesting to note that in the 10 minute video on the Walt Disney Mundo SA site, one of the first pictures shown in the “tour”ish bit is of Mickey and Minnie in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland, which suggests that their intention is a completely “Disney” style experience… Although the past has shown (via Nara Dreamland, Shijingshan Amusement Park etc) that the only way to get a completely Disney style experience is to go to one of the real Disney Parks. There really is no substitute (OK, I’m more than a little bias there as a former WDW Cast Member and Disney fan, but it’s certainly true nontheless!)

There is no such person as ‘Sir Max Higgins’ – just a self-promoting Jamaican guy trying to con people out of $1m a time for his ‘World Football Idol.’ Neither venture has any chance of success and no-one can use the Walt Disney company name without serious risk of legal action!!

Reggie, I will get in touch with you. How did you know he was coming to Dubai? The good news is I have seen an email from a policeman saying Max was arrested in Dubai last month for fraud. It is very difficult to get information from the police to say where he is now. He was staying at a local hotel but has not been back there for over a month and the football club he signed a deal with have also not been able to reach him. I expect Interpol are on to him because you can’t get away with travelling around the world ripping people off for too long. If Emile St. Patrick Higgins is a false name it will be difficult to get confirmation from the police. Would appreciate any more info you have on this Mickey Mouse businessman.

We have had it confirmed from Dubai Police that Sir Max is being held on fraud charges. Trying to run a story on it in a newspaper but the bosses are scared of the legal consequences. I am sure it will be out in the open soon – one way or another. I will keep you posted on developments but just feel bad that he has taken your money. Maybe you should approach some Argentinian newspapers with your stories?

Dear all, I wish I could help you more. Sir Max is being investigated by Dubai Police so I suspect it is in connection with a local fraud rather than an Interpol thing. He hasn’t been convicted of anything yet but I know an Arab court reporter who speaks to the police every day and is monitoring the situation. I will update you just as soon as I know more. His days of ripping people off are over and we will hopefully get an expose in the public domain very soon. My best wishes.

OK, I joined this forum to give you the news I feel you deserve to know. But I can’t give you any more news at the moment. I am English and I work for a newspaper in Dubai. We were contacted by a duped investor and proceeded to write an expose piece on Higgins. Sadly, it was pulled and did not go to print – the second time a Dubai publication has pulled a piece on Higgins. We have an Arabic reporter in the office who speaks to the police every day and that is how we got confirmation on Max’s arrest. I will give you more info as soon as I know it but if you contact Dubai police directly they may give you more info than they are willing to share with the media.

I am tired of this HW fiasco. He has proven himself to be a conman. Trying to capitalize on the popularity of Walt Disney World with the corny differentiation excuse of the ” Mundo” which is spanish for “World” is low and lame and will attract legal ramifications from the original company. My mother passed away and I inherited some money. A portion of this money was invested with Higgins Warner. I handed the bank draft to Mrs. Aletha Gilpin on August 15, 2007 and I received 3 months interest payments… up until November. Everything was running smoothly until the FSC came down on Cash Plus. I really don’t believe that Kenrick Gilpin and his wife intentionally defrauded so many people out of their money. And I dont think Max Higgins could be stupid enough to attempt to steal so many peoples money and think he could get away with it.
I just want to know how this is all going to play out.

People we are not accomplishing anything on this blog site other than venting. There has to be some sort of communication procedure for the accomplishment of a specific goal. Persons have asked persons on this blog for contact information of the state entities investigating MaxHiggins. To now, no information. I can feel the effort persons are making to get back their monies. Thank you guys. But reading the informationposted on the La Opinion” we are doomed. It is hard for all of us to swallow, even those who have invested their life savings. I had only invested $5,000, received $2,000 in interest, so when I look back I have lost $3,000. Still a lot of money with kids to feed. I have learnt, and I hope we all have learnt something from this experience.

US Troy I found this a bit suspicious that you and the JA Troy use the same pseudonym and invest the same amount of money. US Troy its easy to post proof of the money just scan the wire transfer receipt from the bank and post it, so it can be safe to believe that you really got the money. As you can see a lot of the bloggers don’t believe your story.
JA Troy the investors had contacted the FBI here before and were told that it would cost them millions to investigate scams such as this. They will not pay any attention without maybe news headline and hundreds of people coming forward at the same time.

I am sorry for the lack of info – I am working 6-day weeks at the mo and our Arabic reporter is on holiday. It’s not like anyone over here has heard of Higgins really and information is not easy to come by but I will keep trying. I too invested in higgins in november. have not received anything. I was distraught but now I have come to terms that I have lost my money and I need to strategise ways of getting back on my feet. I hope you et back your money. The last time I heard in an email from Sonia Medina that higgins commenced payments to investors on mArch 1, 2008 and all accounts to be updated by April 30, 2008. I am still going to continue digging and I will join with you guys to salvage anything i can but ta the same time i have in the back of my mind that I might not be successful so I am prepared for that possibility.

“The police are asking individuals who think they might have been defrauded by Cash Plus to fill out a form which may be accessed from the national security ministry’s website – http://www.mns.org.jm. The completed forms must be mailed to the Jamaica Constabulary Force at P.O. Box 462, Kingston.”
I think everyone should fill out this form and substitute Cash Plus for Higgins Warner. Include names of all representatives you dealt with whether it be Gilpin, Lascelle Reid, etc. It could help with any investigation. Lets get the ball rolling people.

I have been reading all the postings for some time now and have not posted anytihnguntil now. I too had invested in the company and have lost. All the blame is aimed at HW, but i have been informed that funds have come to Jamaica and have been returned by some Banks. if this is the case, and the funds are coming but cannot get to our accounts how will we ever receive the remittances? Short of Max Higgins coming to Ja. with millions in cash, we will not see a cent in our accounts.

All,
There is a valuable lesson to be learnt. This was a scam from the very start, you need to watch the signs and learn from your mistakes in the past.
I can now declare that all these alternative with the possible exception of one are all ponzi’s.
Do NOT put your money into another PONZI to make up for your losses in the previous ones, as you are most likely to repeat this cycle.
If its too good to be true, chances are its not true.
Max has gone forever and so has your hard earned cash.
Now lets look ahead and explore the options for recovery.
1. Explore opportunities on the JSE
2. CI mutual funds – this offered by Mayberry investment have returned 120% over the the last two years(cumalative return). Now remember past performance is not an indication of future returns.
3.US stock market – the US equities market, weak dollars, housing crisis has driven down US stock prices. so llok out for bargins. Look out for value stock ie those selling for less than book value.
Folks in life you will suffer losses, its your will to recover which makes the difference.
Lets change the board into one that we can share ideas on “real” money making ventures rather than “get rich quick” schemes.
Its a fools paradise.

Thats the thing. People are taking out loans etc to join these schemes. I heard about one that is called XX where you get 20% monthly. They dont issue phone #. Only email contact. Neither do the have a website. Yet the guy was raving about it as he is in there for a while and is getting returns. Told him I wasnt interested. The will vanish sooner or later without a trace. I would take my risk with Olint but only what I can afford to loose. The internet HYIP’s are ponzi’s.

Does anyone know of an international police or FBI or any agent that can freeze assets owned by Max Higgins? I do believe this man is a world renoun theif and must be persecuted to the full extent of the law. I invested with this crook with the hope of keeping my family afloat during this recession and he disappeared in thin air. Somebody has to know where this theif is. I spoke to him in January and he assured me that everyone will be paid February.

All HW investors need to file a report with the Fraud squad in Jamaica. The local police CANNOT act with a written report.
They have started investigation based on the reports of two clients who were victims, the more folks who report, the stronger the case.
So all reading, please make a report in this way the local cops can solicit the help of interpol to track down these folks and bring them to justice.

Now here is the reason why the longer it take to file a report the harder it becomes.
Now K.Gilpin obviously is not in Jamaica, which means more than likely he left the country.
The immigration dept has records of his departure from Jamaica and his intended destination.
The local police can use this information to track the where this guy may be.
If he is a green card holder, they can work with USA to get him.
Folks waste no more time, you have given these guys way too much time to hide.

I’m also got suckered as well as my cousin who put some 50k usd with him. Fortunately I only put what I could afford to lose.
If you trace the WHOIS info for http://www.HigginsWarner.com you get the following information.
I called the jamaican number listed and some woman answered. I just said “sorry wrong number and hung up”

I drove by the address in Miramar Florida some time ago when I found out that was the address the IP was registered to and also found out through the tax rolls that the house is owed by one Charles Higgins. I have driven by there on numeour occaions and have not seen anyone come out of that house. Really don’t know what is the next move.

I INVESTED US $45,000 on this scheme and that put me in a deeper hole. This loan was a temporary bet to help me take care of my financial situation instead I am deeper in the hole. Before I make the innitial investment Max Higgins assured me that I will not regret my decision. Unfornately he is a wolf in sheeps clothing and a swindler. While this is a hard learning experience for me and countless people desparately trying to get out of a financial hole, there must be something that can be done to bring this crook to justice and replace all or part of the money that has been robbed. I am still praying that a miracle will happen. THIS THIEF WILL NOT PROSPER. IF ANY ONE HAS ANY INFORMATION PLEASE PASS IT ON- THOSE WHO WERE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS CROOK HAS NOTHING TO LOOSE – THIS IS A HARD LESSON FOR MANY TO LEARN. THIS IS A VERY BITTER MEDICINE.

Big Barry, I think that is a harsh statement. I was an investor… I wouldn’t consider myself greedy nor foolish. I graduated from University with Student Loans to pay. My boyfriend and I invested in an effort to take off some of the burden of SLB. We weren’t trying to get rich quick and we knew there was a risk… so we went in with the minimum and only got two payments. My contract has long expired and we are yet to get anything further. We are very upset and what makes it worse is the lack of information. It’s makes you feel so powerless.

I have asked all the investors to write to Americas Most Wanted to get this thief profiled. AMS has brought a lot of fugitive to justice and it seems as if no one is taking the initiative to write. The time you guys are using to lament over the past and making critical statement that is of no avail, we would now take some actions to get Higgins escorted back to Jamaica.
