Brenda Song (and some Disney Movies I missed in the Past)
One of the most fun stuff I got in my house is a satellite dish that brings me the Disney Channels into our living room. It will be to nobodies surprises this channel is on a lot of the time, and not just for my son. One of those programs I love to watch is The Suite life of Zack and Cody, however not so much for the two brothers, but more because of Brenda Song, the actrice that plays London. I love the character she portrays and with her (in my opinion) talent can’t help thinking that she might well go the same road as some of the other Disney stars we have seen flourish in High School Musical. (No, I didn’t change my mind, I still think HSM is overrated with bad character development, but I can see the talent that is working in it. Those are two different thing)
Looking around the web a little bid I found out that Brenda has already been the star of a Disney feature called Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior. I had not seen this movie yet but couldn’t help myself ordering it on DVD with Amazon. I hope to see that talent I expect her to be as a main character, even if I am not expecting a masterpiece. I could be wrong of course, as a second part is in the making, the first part couldn’t have been that bad. I’ll wait and see!
And talking about seeing movies for the first time, even being the Disney fan that I am, I do miss out on some of the newest movies like little Chicken and The Pacifier. Both of them surprised me. While the first one wasn’t a big success for Disney, the second one didn’t really interest me. Chicken little was really fun; I loved the “scary” aliens thing and really enjoyed the story and the characters. The Pacifier was pure amusement, not going to be the classic masterpiece, it was fun and Vin Diesel could really pull it of playing in a comedy. The good thing of the movie was that Vin didn’t try to be the comic, he just played his character set in comedy situations and it worked.
I hope Brenda will surprise me as much in the Wendy Wu movie. I am looking forwards seeing it.
