Tron II
Remember that 1982 Computer game, special effects, Science Fiction, movie called “Tron”. I sure do, I loved that movie (and still do). Many fans have been waiting for a worthy follow up and it might be that Disney finally decided to give this classic what it disserves; A sequel!
…director Joseph Kosinski is in final negotiations to develop and direct “Tron.” Sean Bailey is producing via the Live Planet banner, as is Steven Lisberger, who co-wrote and directed the original film. Kosinski, who last month signed on to helm the remake of “Logan’s Run” for Warner Bros. Pictures, will oversee the visual development of the project and have input on the script, which is being written by “Lost” scribes Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Story details are being kept secret. (Screenhead)
The news it not new as Disney already announced a Tron movie back in January 2003. Even earlier, on 11 September 2002, fans who picket up de Anniversary DVD could already catch a hint on a possible new move while watching a new documentary especially made for this DVD. Today it looks like we are closer than ever to get a new TRON movie. I cannot wait to see this one!
