Pirates Soundtrack - First Listen

Saturday, May 5th, 2007

As Andy seems to have started his personal countdown to the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean - At World’s End there is another first to report: the first listen to the score by Hans Zimmer for the third movie in the series. Once again Soundtrack.net scored this exclusive (just as last year) and provides us with a track by track description of the soundtrack-CD to be released on May 22nd in the US and around the same date also internationally (in Germany it will be on May 25th). What makes this so exclusive is the fact that there are excerpts available on the tracks to listen to as well!!

With 13 tracks directly from the movie (so no remixes, suites or techno-cover versions to skip here) the soundtrack-CD will clock in at a strong 56 minutes and promises (based on the report by Soundtrack.net and the short excerpts) a great listening experiences continuing the styles of the first two movies while at the same time introducing strong new themes … so check it out for yourself!

P.S.: if you want to help us pay the bills for this blog (as well as DLP.info and Clickmagique) why not pre-order the soundtrack-CD already on amazon.com, amazon.co.uk or amazon.de through these links?

Lost; The End

Saturday, May 5th, 2007

lost-theend1.jpgDid I scare you a little with the title? Don’t worry though; it isn’t that bad of news. I even think it is very good news. If sources are correct in this article ABC will be announcing the end date of the hit series “Lost”. Why is this good? Well the writers always said they had an ending ready and adding extra seasons would not be good for the story as they would have to come up with subplots and stories that might be less relevant to the big story. With the end date in place writers can now work towards the big finale and give some answers to the fans on the way. With a clear track “Lost” will be able to go out with a big bang.

While an announcement will be made on this soon, within the next few days, clear information on seasons or parts might not be known.

According to these sources, ABC will be making an announcement declaring an end date for Lost very soon. However, the exact number of remaining episodes and seasons is still muddy—and might not be exactly two seasons. (E Online Watch with Kristin Blog)

One thing we fans know is that “death” visit regularly on the island. For this season’s finally one of the deaths will “blow you away”. I guess we are in for a big surprise. (Source; Watch With Kristin)

Disneyland Resort Paris 15th Anniversary Celebration trip report: Once Upon a Dream Parade

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

onceuponadream-mermaid2-blog.jpgThe new “Once Upon a Dream Parade” was very high on my list on things to see on this trip. It was new, especially created for the 15th anniversary of Disneyland Resort Paris. With the artwork already showing how nice it was going to be I had high hopes…

We took a good space at the hub with a view towards the castle about 1 hour before the parade would pass by. Once I saw Mickey and Minnie appearing I was very excited. The music blasted out the speakers, the floats where getting closer and I was thrilled with the thought I would get to witness the new parade.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels Smoke Free

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

goofynosmoking.jpgPersonally I am very happy that at Walt Disney World all hotels will be smoke free. No, I am not judging those who smoke, it is your choice, but I am happy that I don’t have to remind myself to ask for a smoke free room anymore in the future as they all will be.

“We make adjustments to our operations based on guest demand,” Senior Vice President Erin Wallace said. “This policy complements our efforts to provide our guests with the healthy living options they are requesting.” (Orlando Sentinel)

The new rule goes in effect as of the 1st June.

There is a RAT in the Kitchen

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

rattothekitchen.jpgMake sure to head over to Disney.com to see a 9 minute exclusive preview of the new Disney – Pixar movie Ratatouille. You will get a great clip on how Remy, the rat, literary falls into the kitchen where Linguini works as a kitchen help. A great 9 minutes with some good laughs! I think this movie is going to be great.

I won’t write more as some readers don’t like spoilers, but if you don’t mind check it out now. Want to go to the movie spoiler free… read some of our other (non spoiler) Disney blog articles :-)

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

This rumor was burning fast but was put out even faster; a new Disney Park for Branson. How did the rumor start? STL Today has a little time line and the story about the park that never should have been the start of a rumor in the first place.

The man promising a mysterious new venture arrived at the courthouse square in a yellow Corvette. The three Newton County commissioners took note of his flashy ride…
