Mousekingdom Blog

Yes! We did it. One year later: the Mousekingdom Blog can celebrate its very first year of operation!

What a ride it has been so far (and there is no intention at all stopping this ride now). We can celebrate this blog and I will do so with a little pat on the back as we have worked hard to make it what it is today.

Of course there are many people I would like to thank after this first year of blogging…

First of all I would like to welcome and thank all our readers that pass by in such huge numbers. We never could have dreamed the amount of visitors we get every day. We are talking a 4 number digit here, every day (and no, we do not count the spiders and such but really count the actual visitors). Without you Disney fans from around the globe it would not have been possible. So thank you for all your visits and please keep on coming back. So why did I say “welcome to the blog”? I never really did this when we started this and a year later it is time I catch up on that. So once again to all our guests and Disney fans; Thank you for the first year and welcome to the start of the second one!

Personally I would also like to thank Dirk and Stefan, without them this blog might have never seen the day of light in the first place. Thank you to Simon, Susan, Andrea and Kris for being part of the blog and their contributions.

Now, being a Disney fanatic and a writer for the blog, I am well aware we are not alone. Therefore I would like to thank some other people out there on the web that have either supported us or talked about us during this year. Remember, we all love the same thing so it is fun to see that this Disney community supports each other in such a great way. So here a list of people I would like to say thank you to for their support, links or just for being there and sharing the magic;

John Frost from “The Disney Blog”; He has given us some great link returns with new visitors peeking in (and staying too). His great blog is something I visit every day and it is fun to sometimes see a link to us appear, or to just compare his view to ours.

Josh Kenzer from “The Disney Frontier”; This guy has given us more links than anybody else on the web so far. Thanks Josh and keep on blogging as I love to visit your blog daily too.

Tim Devine from “Tim Devine’s Photo Blog”; Thanks for your great support and the great Illuminations (and other great) pictures you put online and I so shamelessly use for our blog sometimes (with link to Tim’s web of course)

I would also like to thank Ricky Brigante from Inside the Magic. First of all his show keeps me going on those dreadful Monday mornings at work and the fact that he puts up with me (and the links) on his forum. Lou and Nathan from the (former) “MouseTunes”. Again for making the Monday bearable and for the “babbling” (I so shamelessly used on a couple of blog entries) and their support. They had a great show that will be missed. (Be sure to check their new Disney related Project). Of course we would also like to thank everybody else who ever added a link, talked about us on the web. Thank you everybody (Daveland Blog, News from WDW, Walt Arbeiter, The Haunted Mansion at Daveland, Colin at Disney, 15 jaar Disneyland, Family Travel, … and I am sorry if I didn’t put your name down as you all disserve a personal thank you – add your link in this entry below to claim your “thank you” :-)).

A special thank you goes out to Disney too. Let us be honest, we would not be here without them. It is always great to see that such a company puts up with us Disney fans and let us have our say. And thank you to all the Imagineers and Cast Members for making me feel so good when visiting one of the Disney parks (making me want to do this blog even more)
