Disneyland Resort Paris New Years Trip: It’s all about (missing) Merchandise

mickeyyingyangplate.jpgThis time around I planned to buy myself something for the house again. I wanted something related to the park, if possible related to one of the rides I love or related to the Castle. But for some reason there was nothing to be found. The big difference with Walt Disney World (and the other Disney parks around the globe) is that you hardly find anything collectible of Paris like you do with the other parks. No, not that the shops are empty, but I think they are missing to much specific merchandise. Just look at the shops in WDW for example. You go to the Tower of Terror, exit true the shop and what do you find… Tower of Terror collectibles! You find shops like that all around the Walt Disney World resort, with specific items, while in Disneyland Resort Paris most shops just carry the same…

Although I now the choice is no way like it is in the US, up to now I always managed to find something. Last time I picked up a Castle statue and before that I got a MainStreet snow globe… This time I got home (almost) empty handed. I wish that there would be a lot more DLRP related merchandise for the big kids. I so want to get some Phantom Manor stuff (please, please, please.)

waytomanypinsbought.jpgWith the missing merchandise they did miss out on some of my money this time around so maybe it would be good to take a look into that. I am surely not the only one that would like to see some more specific ride merchandise from the park. So let’s hope they go all the way with their 15th anniversary merchandise. (I did see some artwork and it did look promising)

We did get the nice Mickey Ying & Yang Plate and,…. I bought Way to many pins…

    Hi,

Living in Holland and vistiting DLRP a couple time a year and visiting WDW one time a year, I totally agree.

Even in a year time diffrence the merchandising is almost the same, still the same clothing, same stuffed animals, and same household items.

While in WDW, some shops change their looks and a lot of shops have new merchandising.

This would deffinatly raise the merchandising sales of DLRP, and would help them to raise the sales figures.
