3 More for Hong Kong (Concept Art Included)

waterworks1.jpgHong Kong Disneyland will be expanding in 2007 and 2008; Three new attractions are going their way.

First of all there is the Disney Classic, A Small World. The attraction is set to open in the beginning of 2008.

“As tourism in Hong Kong continues to strengthen, we will look for more ways to expand Hong Kong Disneyland and enhance our Guests’ experience, adding entertainment, attractions and spectaculars for the whole family to enjoy,” said Bill Ernest, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. “Today’s announcement, coupled with our recent expansion of Tomorrowland, reinforce our long-term strategy and we are excited about what the future holds.” (via Hong Kong Disneyland Source)

The second new attraction will be the Animation Academy where guest will be able to interact by picking up a pencil and start drawing.

However the new Mickey’s WaterWorks looks like the most appealing of all the new additions the park will get. This new Disney experience will be the new day time parade. The floats artwork look great and with the description we are getting about the parade it looks like some of the spectators might get a little wet when Mickey, Goofy and their friends will pass by.

But watch out! Onlookers are likely to get caught up in the “splashy” show as Goofy dutifully waters the plants and Minnie carefully spritzes the flowers with perfume. (via Hong Kong Disneyland Source)
