Cinderella’s Suite comes with TV and great Park View
The Orlando Sentinel has some details and information on the Cinderella suite inside the castle at the Magic Kingdom that will welcome lucky winners of the “Year of a Million Dreams” celebration at Walt Disney World for a sleep over. The burning questions for some was what would there be to do while staying at the Castle.
“Do they have television? I mean, what is there to do up there, for kids?” she asked. “Especially overnight. That’s going to be a long night, you know.”
Yes, there will be TV. Yes, it looks as if the family will be shut in after the theme park closes for the night. And yes, a butler (known as a comte du cierge in old French), will be at their call.
Of course there will be more to do before being “locked” in the suite once the park is closed; A dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table Restaurant and after that they will be escorted to see “Wishes” or to some Disney entertainment. The magic inside the suite should make some Disney fans hearts skip a beat.
The 650-square-foot suite has a bedchamber, a bathroom and a parlor. The parlor has two sets of three windows: one overlooks Fantasyland; the other, Liberty Square.
Not sure how most people feel about things like this but I would be at those windows until I cannot keep myself awake anymore. Being able to see the park at empty at night would make a very nice and unforgettable view. For sure they will leave parts lit for the Cinderella suite guests to enjoy.
But that is not all there is. Imagineers did even more making the room a magical place…
Designs call for an elevator inspired by Cinderella’s carriage, a foyer with inlaid stone floors, wooden walls, a big stone (though faux) chateau-style fireplace, two big, soft beds and other pieces of faux period artwork and furniture. The princess’ glass slippers will be on display.
