Disneyland Resort Paris trip report: EVIL things

I have a fascination with the evil side of live. I am a good boy, not evil myself, honestly, but the evil things are just appealing to me. I like creepy and scary movies, enjoy the evil games and it isn’t any different when it comes to Disney.

Halloween at Disney is one of my favorite times and celebrations, absolutely loving “Mickey’s not so Scary Halloween party” at Walt Disney World. On my trip to Disneyland Resort Paris I looked for the evil parts in the park and loved them like I always do. Phantom Manor is, for obvious reasons, my all time favorite ride; even if I am a real Roller Coaster fan it still wins from any coaster in the park. I love to walk around the graveyard that is so often forgotten about many guests. I look at the graves and their funny inscriptions, enjoy the sounds and views and it is a place where I can really relax and breathe in the atmosFEAR.

Another great place that I love is right under the castle inside the dungeons where the dragon is being hold. I already mentioned it in a previous entry that this is the place that should not be missed. I made sure I didn’t miss it on this trip either as I love to watch this Imagineering masterpiece do its evil stuff.

PiratesQueue1.jpgIt is also fun to see that there Disney Villains out there that walk inside the park. They don’t have to be nice and that’s what the do best when interacting with the guests; they can pester them, walk away from them without signing the autograph book or even scare them.

I saw a teenager running away and being hunted down by Frollo from the Hunchback of the Notre Dame. That was real fun to see.

One of the best queues in the park is the one from Pirates of the Caribbean. It is dark, and to some even scary. I love that queue and the best way to enjoy is late in the evening when there are not too many guests anymore queue-ing for the attraction. I always take my time walking thru it as the mood and decorations are great.

On one of the days I enjoyed another Fantillusion viewing. I walked up to where the dragon would appear to enjoy this favorite float of mine. Once the dragon popped back into place I followed that float all the way to the end of the parade route. I enjoyed the villain part of the fantillusion music and made sure it was the last I heard before leaving the park on that day. All other Fantillusion visits I did were always in front of the castle, the location where the Dragon pops out.

Dragon1.jpgBut I do have my limits too. Some things are way to evil, even for me. Small World; those dolls are pure evil, the song is malicious. It is too much for me. But I do understand that no Disney visit is complete without a visit to Small World… (Only Goofing around)

To be continued…
