We may have just reached Summer Solstice, typically the longest the longest day of the year, but Disneyland “Resort” Paris is already thinking about next year’s birthday celebrations.

April 12th 1992 was when the magic began in Europe, so the resort can expect a 15th anniversary to remember… and the logo for this special time has just been released. It takes after the Happiest Celebration on Earth emblem that is still in use for Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, yet has a contemporary twist which is quite apt for one of the most stylish cities on the planet.

Along with the obligatory castle and number of years the anniversary is celebrating, even Tinkerbell has been cloned across to this “new logo”. One of the biggest and most noticeable changes however has really got the fans talking… the new logo for the resort itself.

Visible in the bottom portion of the design, the logo is harking back to its 1994 roots with the simple “Paris” underlying the Waltgraph “Disneyland” text. “Resort” is now simply beside it in a slighter shade of blue. After the recent “Believe In Your Dreams” advertising campaign for the resort (where the destination is merely called “Disneyland Paris” once again and the logo uses an enlarged “Paris” typeface) could this be the new tactic for the resort? Are we about to lose the “Resort” from our name and switch back to the usual name everyone knows Europe’s Disney resort as? Who knows, but this logo does suggest that the resort concept is not worth promoting anymore – a similar decision to Disneyland “Resort” in recent months!
