Disney TV and Disney Parks equals profit

CastleMK-1.jpgThe future looks bright for the Mouse. The ABC hits “Desperate Housewives” and  “High School Musical” are bringing in high profits for the Disney Company. But also the park, or at least some of the parks, are taking care of a healthy growth: TV, parks lift Disney profit to 12% gain

Disney’s theme parks helped too — despite troubled performances in Paris and Hong Kong — according to the second-quarter financial report Disney filed Tuesday.

It looks like the plans and action taken by the Disney Company are paying of. Looking at the PIXAR deal (bringing the PIXAR Characters closer to the Mouse) and the success of the Magical Express (keeping the guest on the Disney property) proofs this even more.

Other trends were more encouraging for Disney World. Because of the Magical Express baggage and shuttle service, more tourists are staying at company hotels, Staggs said. And they’re taking longer vacations. Bookings for the next quarter are up too, he said.

Let us hope this great results will open the doors to an even greater Disney future. It has been proven with all the successes they had lately that if you invest in quality you will be rewarded in the long run. I’ve always loved Disney, but when I look at articles like this I am even more excited about the future of Disney. Now, if they could only fix Disneyland Resort Paris financial situation, the Disney world would be perfect!
