A Nightmare in 3-D
The Nightmare Before Christmas from Tim Burton goes 3-D. If the information is correct we will see this updated version in the theatre around Halloween, October 20, 2006 to be exact.
I got really excited when I saw this news. This is a masterpiece and should be seen in the Theater. It will remain to be seen if the 3-D effects will do it any justice.
Chicken Little was one of the Disney Productions that had a 3-D release. The company that took care of this transformation was Real D. You can check a timeline on their 3-D work, but there is no news on a Nightmare Before Christmas production on there site (yet)
Another company working on the 3-D movie conversion is In-Three. This company showed clips from the original “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” and “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” At ShoWest 2005 that where Dimensionalized(™) (the name for the process that puts 2-D movies into the 3-D movies)
There is no official communication about this project yet. The information can be found on comingsoon.net
