Tarzan on Broadway
On 10th May Tarzan, the musical will go live on Broadway in the Richard Rodgers Theater. Another big Disney hit becomes a Disney Theatrical production.
I remember going to New York, for business, trying to get tickets for the Lion King. “There will be tickets available in 6 months” was the answer. I guess Tarzan might also sell out for months.
However, when you check out Jim Hill Media website, you can read some more information on the preview showing and the negative response of the visitors; Could “Tarzan” ’s original screenplay provide the key to saving Disney’s still-floundering new musical? Could this mean tickets might be easier to obtain?
A very nice special treat in this article is a draft of the third act from the Disney Tarzan movie
Trying to find a way out, Tarzan stumbles into Clayton’ s trophy room. He stands surrounded by all his friends from the jungle, their heads hung from the walls, staring out through lifeless eyes.
I must admit that I am happy we did not get to see this version!

I do believe that Tarzan on Broadway would be very entertaining. Although I have not seen the “Lion King” or any other Disney production live, I’m sure this one will be a hit. I think people will be curious about the stage setting and how the actors will manage swinging from ropes and down vines and such. I think it will be a great show to catch!
