Good to know I am not alone and others have the same idea on a trip like this...

Maybe I should have a look how much this would cost. If only for the fun of it...

You are not crazy about dreaming. If you don't dream then what to you have to look foward too. Although your dream is big you may be able to accomplish parts of it and not the whole thing. Good luck with coming up with the funds to do that. I too love Disney and Orlando. I've been to Disney World so many times I've lost count I know every time I go I feel like I've stepped into the gate for the first time ever. I never get tried of going. Good luck and don't stop dreaming. Dreams do come true. One of mine did. I"ve wanted a Corvette for 13 years and last year I got one. That had been my dream car forever.

I can not speak about HKDL (have not been there) but the TDLR is amazing!
TDL is not as beautiful as DLP, but TDS is very, very close!
The OLC really "get" the Disney experience.

No your not insane its good to have dreams, I agree with jrriddle though the Ny world of disney store is definately worth a visit its pretty cool like a mini taster of one of the Disney Parks. The musicals are also must. Though I'm never quite sure about the Far East theme parks, can't imagine they have the same magic.

Nope, not insaine at all.
In fact I would add stops in London and NYC to catch a couple of Disney Musicals and check out the NY World of Disney Store.
And just like Marnix I get the "How much Disney can you do in one trip?!?" looks from my girlfriend!

No, not insane,
No, not the only one!

I have had several versions and revisions of a similar trip, but "the other way around".

Flying from Amsterdam (I'm Dutch) to Hong Kong, enjoying 3 days and 3 nights in the Hong Kong DL Hotel. It would be a great start with a small MK park and a small resort to discover.

Flying to Tokyo, stay at Hotel MiraCosta for 7 days and 6 nights. Enjoying the parks and shopping mall. Leavind late on the day and arriving early the same day (passing the day's border) in LA.

Anaheim would be a 7 days visit and 6 nights at the Grand Califoria Hotel (Themepark view naturally). We would certainly do the "welcome to Disneyland tour" and the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps". Furthermore since my second (and still last) visit there I've fallen in love with the Hungry Bear Restaurant, so a meal there would be great.

Then hopping to Orlando, staying there for 14 days/15 nights. WDW is so big and there are so many hotels that it would be a shame to stay 15 nights at the same place. Therefor I would like to stay 4 nights at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, 5 nights an the Boardwalk inn and concluding with a 6 nights stay at the Polynesian Resort. Combining the locations and a great variety in theming. On our first and only visit there we spent our honeymoon in the Grand Floridian and Coronado Springs. We would certainly attend some behind the scenes tours like the Magic behind our Steamtrains and the Dolphins in Depth.

Finally we would fly to Paris (which cannot be done non-stop!!) and ending with a 3 night stay in the Sleaping Beauty Suite in our own DL Hotel before taking Thalys back home. We've never stayed in the DL hotel yet.

My wife and I are not into cruises, therefor I wouldn't include a cruise in our trip. Nevertheless it would take 5 entire weeks to do this and an intergalactic amount of money. But that doesn't stop me from thinking of more things to do and figuring out more nice details to add to the trip and still checking flights and hotel availability. If we would ever do it I want it to be the ultimate D-experience, therefor staying on site is very important to me.

Sometimes I share these ideas with my wife and she gives me the impression that i AM insane, but I refuse to believe that :-)

Keep up the dreaming!
