Wishing for Wishes
I was just surfing the net and came across the news of Wishes. It seems that it is almost confirmed that it WILL NOT be re-appearing and there’s to be no replacement this year. What a loss!
Personally I would really like to see the show back this year… if they were to promote it more appropriately of course. Not having a firework show after Fantillusion is hardly the end of the world, but fireworks over the castle is such a Disney trademark as is widely expected by guests… I believe!
Wishes was a cool concept to tie into the 50th anniversary celebration, but the serious lack of actual fireworks left me disappointed. The effects (especially the lasers) were really cool however and the music wasn’t dreadful either. I am genuinely disappointed that it probably wont be appearing now, especially as I just remade my guide page for it (ouch, shameful plug!)
Last summer DLRP promoted the show as being a “firework spectacular”, which was terribly-false advertising, but mentioning it in brochures only for it not to exist is far worse in my opinion! Is this really the end of Wishes? Could it return for the 15th anniversary? Will we get a “new” show for the anniversary? I for one would like to know!
EDIT: This post was originally going to be about DLRP.fr’s news that the show will go on, but after seeing the post on the DLP.info forum, I thought my translation skills were not up to scratch 
So it seems that Wishes IS officially retrning. I’m lost!

That is so sad
When I planned to go to DLRP last year (never happened but nevertheless), I first realised that there was going to be no fireworks no nothing.
I always expected some fireworks to be there, just because…well they are always there as far as I can see. Is there any Disney park besides DLRP that has NO fireworks ?
Yeah Wishes at DLRP did not have the greatest advertising, but the videos I have seen look really cool, I mean really cool imho.
It was a great show, but not a fireworks spectacular.
I just hope there’s a new “closing time” show coming to DLRP.
Those shows are one of the things I like the most about Disney parks

It´s really sad!
I didn´t see “wishes” at DLRP last year. But I saw it at WDW in January 2006. It´s a great show. I like It more than the old firework at DLRP. If I just hear the music of wishes…
I think it would be a big mistake if wishes is not coming back this year.

We have travelled to Paris every summer for the last 5 years to visit DLRP.
Last year 2005 I thought that WISHES started a Week earlier than it did and bought the trip . We were so SORRY when we discovered that we had to go home to Copenhagen just 1 day before the Premiere of WISHES!!!
So this year we have paid for a trip in week 29, sure that this year we could
have a WONDERFULL experience.
WE REALLY,REALLY HOPE WISHES is comming back this year.
